Farming Ahead's July Farm Photo winner

This article is 8 years old. Images might not display.

This was the situation faced by Tony Reeckman from Norong in Victoria’s north-east at harvest last year.

Tony reckons seeing the goanna on the field bin made putting the bin into transport mode “a little awkward” but he was able to tentatively lift and shift the field bin with the roving Varanus firmly attached. Clearly the migrant monitor was ignorant of the “keep clear” decal.

We reckon it would have given Tony quite a start, but applaud his composure to grab this great snap of the situation and take out our farm photo for July.

Congratulations Tony, a voucher for a pair of boots from our friends at Blundstone is on the way to you.

You too can scale to new heights, send us your best farm photo via Facebook, on MMS on 040 111 FARM (040 111 3276) or email us at contact@kondinin.com.au and you could win yourself a pair of Blundstone boots too.
