With much of the agricultural world focused on grain after Australia’s largest harvest, this tweet from Western Australian farmer Tony White is a fun change of pace that illustrates the value of different commodities on the farm.

Tony combines cropping, fine wool and beef operations on properties near Miling, a small town in the Western Australian Wheatbelt,  about 200 kilometres north of Perth.

We are guessing this load of wool will fetch upwards of $60,000 which Tony points out in his tweet, is about the same as a 400t of good quality barley.

Not bad for an almost forgotten ‘sheep by-product' as Tony calls it.
