Farmer wellbeing survey requires input

RESEARCH organisation WellRes needs help to learn more about and highlight the challenges faced by the agricultural sector.

For those working in agriculture – WellRes's winter regional wellbeing survey is now open and has a special focus on how people in primary production are going across the country.

WellRes wants to hear from people whether things are going well, if farmers are in the middle of drought, impacted by floods or facing other challenges.

WellRes – a Wellbeing and Resilience Research Unit, based in Canberra - is running the survey to better understand the impacts of drought, floods and other events in agriculture as well as on health and safety on the farm and how farmers are experiencing regulations by authorities.

The survey can be completed on line here: regionalwellbeing.org.au

Hardcopies of the survey can be ordered by calling 1800 981 499, Monday to Friday 9am-4pm.

WellRes says if people do not work in agriculture, they can still take part on the survey as long as they are Australian residents and are over the age of 18.

Survey participants are eligible to enter a draw to win one of 13 prizes worth a total of $5000.
