VOLKSWAGEN has a new limited edition variant in its Amarok ute range.

Known as the Amarok 10 Deserts Edition, with extra features like a 40mm suspension lift kit, the new model has pricing from $69,990 drive-away.

Only 300 of the new Amaroks will be made which Volkswagen says will have greater availability of in-cabin and towing technology. Ground clearance of the utes has been increased to 275mm.

The 10 Deserts models will be shod with Continental ATR Tyres with 17-inch satin black wheels and also be fitted with Volkswagen underbody protection. Additional features include a black sports bar, soft tonneau cover, all-weather floor mats, and a black ‘10 Deserts' decal spanning the front and rear doors.

Other additions for the Amarok range for MY25 include a 230 volt power socket fitted to the rear centre console and inside the rear tub on MY25 Amarok Style, PanAmericana and Aventura variants, backed by an integrated 400W inverter, so owners can plug in travel appliances, laptops and camping lights, and charge battery packs, while on the go.

On the driver assistance front, ‘Trailer Assist' will now become standard on Style, PanAmericana and Aventura models, making reversing and hitching trailers (up to 3500kg braked) easier.

Volkswagen is now also providing a turn-key solution with the cab chassis, thanks to new ‘Tray' variants of Amarok Core, Life and Style models.

The standardised alloy tray on ‘Core Tray', ‘Life Tray' and ‘Style Tray' measures 1900mm in external width, 1835mm in internal width, 1650mm in internal length and weighs 132kg. Additionally, the alloy tray can be purchased as a dealer-fitted accessory on any Amarok model.

A similarly-dimensioned steel tray, weighing 243kg, is available as a dealer-fit accessory.

The Volkswagen Amarok MY25 line-up will progressively be introduced into dealerships during the second half of the year. For more details, visit volkswagen.com.au.
