The conference will be held at the Adelaide Convention Centre on 31 March and 1 April 2020 and will bring together a range of people from a wide range of commodity sectors including primary production. Representatives from government, investing and research bodies will also attend.

CRSPI chair, Dr Jason Crean, said that the conference will consider how a changing climate translates for agricultural businesses.

"This major event gives us the opportunity to take on the challenge of growing our sector to $100 billion by 2030 while adapting to and mitigating the effects of climate," Dr Crean said.

A range of international and Australian based-speakers will engage participants on both mitigation of greenhouse gas emissions and adapting to changing climate - from a research, production and business perspective. The focus will be on sharing and collaborating with a mix of speakers, panels and discussion groups.

"Our changing climate presents a range of challenges and opportunities for Australian primary industries, and the most effective response includes coordinated research, development and extension across sectors and regions. We will showcase what is already being done by producers, some of the tools already available for businesses to use to adapt to climate and reduce emissions, as well as sharing some of the innovations in the pipeline."
