Flushing the system prior to folding prevents corrosion that inevitably occurs when liquid urea ammonium nitrate (UAN) product drips from the friction line onto the bar during or in the folded position.
The setup uses two non-return valves and a 12-volt air compressor to purge the lines. While centre lines may purge first, these can be shut-off once clear.
Michael reports that although he has only just fitted the setup, it seems to work well and will be improved with a few tweaks.
