Two self-propelled sprayers were tested - the Agrifac Condor Endurance 2 and the Goldacres G6 Crop Crusier Series 2.

The research team was glad to be back out in the paddock testing after a challenging 2020 and early 2021 with travel restrictions limiting testing ability due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Agrifac's Condor Endurance 2 has an 8000 litre main tank and the unit tested was fitted with a 49m wide boom which also featured the AiCPlus camera-based spraying system which uses high-resolution cameras and artificial intelligence software to detect weeds.

The Goldacres G6 Crop Cruiser Series 2 was fitted with a 36m RivX boom which is new to the Goldacres range, offering riveted joins within the aluminium sections of the boom. Main tank capacity is 6000L and the sprayer is also fitted with Goldacres' new G-Hub screen in the cab.

The test results will be published in the June edition of the Farming Ahead magazine's Research Report, along with a sprayer technology update and a round up of what farmers can expect to see from other sprayer manufacturers in the next six to eight months.

Kondinin Group hopes to conduct another round of self-propelled sprayer testing early next year which will include the latest models from John Deere, Hagie, Case IH and Apache.
