Kondinin Group research engineer, Ben White, travelled to the demonstration to inspect the new machinery.
While there were three models on show - 12.19m, 18.28m and 24.38m wide machines - the range is available in imperial 35/40/45/50/70 and 80ft widths.
And there is plenty of steel in the bridge-frame style build with the 12m model weighing in at 12t with tines on 250mm spacings while the 24m machine on the same spacings is closer to 30t.
The significant mass rides on up to 500/60-22.5 flotation tyres with 20 of the castored wheel units on the largest of the SeedStorm frame.
Underframe clearance is 1m with an opener-to-ground clearance of 700mm in the retracted position.
Transport width is 6.5m for the 12m machine which can be specified with 3m wheel centres for the centre section. the 18m and 24m machines have a transport width of 7.5m.
The three tine ranks are at 1250mm spacings with the headstock constructed using a continuous length of steel in each frame section. Lateral frame components are profile cut to accommodate the headstock in a Morris-Quantum-like construction method that minimises butt-weld joints.
Tines are supplied by Groundhog Industries and are hydraulically-adjustable with up to 300kgf breakout. Presswheels are available in three profiles.
