Massey Ferguson Ideal harvester takes out another international design award

AGCO's Ideal harvester has been given another prestigious design award.

The A'Design Award is one of the biggest international design competitions in the world with 98 design categories in areas such as architecture, vehicle design and agriculture.

The judging panel consists of international press members, designers, scholars and experienced entrepreneurs, awarding prizes in platinum, gold, silver, bronze and iron levels in various categories.

AGCO says the development of the Ideal was a global effort with different regions working together to meet different customer's needs and requirements in various harvesting conditions.

The Ideal was created from a blank canvas, passing through intensive testing in different regions and continents. AGCO believes the harvester, which features a twin rotor design, is a pioneering product, providing innovation, quality, automation and growth to farmers.

 "We are proud of the Ideal combine and the development that AGCO teams across the world, including here in Australia, undertook in designing and testing such an innovative and advanced combine," said Fergal Meehan, AGCO director of Marketing for Australia and New Zealand.

"This Platinum A'Design Award, following the Ideal's 2017 Machine of the Year Award at Agritechnica, and its 2018  ‘Red Dot Design: Best of the Best award', is yet another testament to AGCO's commitment to developing the next generation of Massey Ferguson combines."
