A self-loading round bale carrier won the Imported Machine of the Year at last week’s Elmore Machinery Field Days.

The Anderson RBM2000 bale loader and carrier is built in Canada and imported to Australia by Burder Ag Attachments, Wangaratta, Victoria. The RBM2000 is a roller table platform which has a mechanical grab and arm mechanism attached to the front of the platform.

Towed by a tractor, the RBM2000 will grab the bale (typically a round, wrapped bale up to 1.5m in diameter), tip the bale on its side, and lift and load the bale onto the platform.

Bales are stacked side-by-side on the roller platform and moved rearwards by a hydraulically-controlled gate.

A row of up to seven bales can be stacked side-by-side and another six bales can be stacked on top of the two rows.
