VIDEO: Save time with self-drilling screws

We look at the humble Tek screw and how to choose the right type for different jobs

Josh Giumelli

Tek screws and other types of self-drilling fasteners have revolutionised how we construct houses and sheds, plus a range of farm structures and equipment.

Kondinin Group researcher Josh Giumelli said self-drilling screws offer so many advantages over traditional screws, rivets and nails that they are a go-to fastener for a huge range of on farm jobs.

“If you are looking to save time when building or repairing a shearing shed, sheep feeder or even renovating a room in the house, self-drilling fasteners will fit the bill,” Mr Giumelli said.
