It has been a mixed start to the winter sowing season around Australia. For this month’s Research Report the Kondinin Group research team of Ben White, Josh Giumelli and Mark Saunders have looked at large-scale air seeder carts, or commodity carts and how they’ve been part of planting hundreds of thousands of hectares of seed and fertiliser.

With sowing in many parts of the country well and truly under way, and in some cases done and dusted, the research team has been busy looking at tow-behind or tow-between commodity carts in Western Australia, New South Wales and Victoria.
