FARMING AHEAD INTELLIGENCE

Research Report: National Variety Trials (March 2016)

March's Research Report looks at the NVTs.

In years gone by, we have brought you the tabular results for the most recent NVT season.

While these results gave an accurate picture of varietal performance in a single year, longer term average performance against benchmarks are more valuable as a tool when selecting varieties.

Utilising the long-term average benchmark and varietal performance data supplied by NVT, the following tables by geographic region highlight the top five yielding varieties compared to comparable long term crop averages.

For a more in-depth analysis, we recommend using the NVT Yield App or Excel Reporting tools available on the NVT website, www.nvtonline.com.au
