GETTING summer spraying right is essential. Treading the fine line between maximising efficacy and minimising spray drift is the balance that needs to be struck. Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC) research conducted by NSW DPI agronomist Colin McMaster, suggests that for every dollar spent on summer spraying, returns ranged from $3/ha to $8/ha.
