The busiest week for the east coast harvest

New South Wales growers have been particularly prolific, delivering 1.7Mt in the past week to take the state’s total to 4.55Mt. Heatwave conditions caused delays in northern NSW, with growers shutting down during the day for safety reasons.

Harvest activity in Queensland is winding down, with just 112,600 tonnes delivered in the past week to take the state’s total to 1.7Mt.

But Victorian growers simply cannot take a trick – with more delays due to sporadic storms.

Progress in Victoria has been hampered throughout harvest due to weather, but despite the delays Victorian growers had their busiest week with 607,800 tonnes delivered.

Victoria’s total should exceed 1Mt in the next week. 

Overall, GrainCorp’s harvest total stands at 7.16Mt.
