Cradle has calves in a spin

A new calf cradle from Offsider Ag makes handling stock easier.

The Offsider Ag Equipment Spin-a-Calf was awarded Highly Commended in the Henty Machine of the Year Awards at Henty in New South Wales in September.

The Spin-A-Calf cradle is like a mini crush and it stays upright, minimising stress to the animal and operator.

Once caught, the calf can be tagged, backlined and marked at the operator's own pace. The cradle sits on a turntable which allows the operator to stay in the one place while the calf is rotated, making it easy to work on the front, rear or flank of the animal.

There is an easily operated head bale and at the rear of the spinner there are small steel paddles to prevent leg kicks. The paddles can swing in and out and be locked in place.
The build quality looks good, with plenty of galvanising.
