New project targets better crop water use

At the farm level, many farming enterprises remain highly vulnerable in an operational environment dominated by uncertainty, risk and low profitability driven by climate variability, market volatility, increasing production costs and a lack of skilled rural labour, among other factors. But a new project could see improved land productivity, water-use efficiences and bigger profits.
