About a dozen machines have been inspected, focussing on build quality and folding mechanisms, ground-engaging tine design, maintenance requirements, tine break out force and a host of other parameters.

The team's work will be published in the June edition of the Farming Ahead magazine and the report will also look at some of the latest tined developments including the Aqua Till system which uses a jet of high water pressure to act as a coulter for seeding bars.

Seeders have been inspected in Western Australia, Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland and range from narrow transport (fold) models to large-scale bars of up to 24m in width.

Make sure to check out the full report in the June Farming Ahead magazine.

A growing series of reports, each focused on a key discussion point for the farming sector, brought to you by the Kondinin team.
