Krista - a banana farmer who is a passionate advocate for reducing food waste - won the title from a field of seven women - one from each state in Australia.

Krista is from the town of Walkamin and is a leader in agricultural innovation and the co-founder and managing director of Natural Evolution Foods, a world-first company specialising in gluten-free green banana flour products.

She has more recently focused on adding value to other products such as sweet potatoes. A dynamic mum of two, Krista's motto is "to solve the world's problems and make people's lives better".

She is a keen advocate for innovation and disruption, and passionate about reinvigorating the Australian food manufacturing industry.

Darrylin Gordon, Halls Creek, Western Australia, was the runner up in the Awards. Darrylin is working on improving developing skills for youth and unemployed locals in the Halls Creek area and she has started running skills training camps.
