With 309kW on tap, the 942 Vario is Fendt's first 9 series tractor to break the 400hp barrier and impressed the TOTY judging panel with its MAN nine litre engine, which delivers plenty of power at a low engine rpm.
The Fendt's unique VarioDrive transmission splits and delivers the torque to the front and rear axles, optimising traction in the paddock and on the road.
Fendt also took home the Best Utility TOTY with its 314 Profi + model which has an innovative new boost system called Dynamic Performance.
The FendtOne cab environment is another new development for this tractor, expanding the display area with new terminals. It also includes more customisable controls and the onboard/offboard philosophy, to synchronise the office with the tractor and the fleet in terms of data share and task planning.
Best of Specialised TOTY went to the New Holland T4.110 N which features a suspended axle called ‘TerraGlide', available either with brakes or without. TerraGlide allows the operator to drive at higher speed and easily adjust the height and rigidity of the suspension according to the conditions.
An anti-dive function is standard which reduces the pitching effect while braking or accelerating with heavy implements.
And the New Holland methane-powered tractor won the Sustainable TOTY award.
