To be held at the Duxton Hotel in Perth, the conference is organised by the Western Australian No Tillage Farmers Association (WANTFA) and the Australian Controlled Traffic Farming Association (ACTFA).

The two-day event features a comprehensive line up of guest speakers and an opportunity to share some of the challenges post amelioration and discuss with growers, researchers and industry potential solutions.

WANTFA says a big focus of the conference will be delving deep into farming systems approaches to soil amelioration and Controlled Traffic Farming.

The last decade has seen an upsurge in soil amelioration across Australia especially where soil constraints are greatest. Western Australia has some of the most ancient eroded soils globally and has constraints such as acidity, non-wetting and compaction to name a few.

Growers and researchers in WA have been leading the way in the past 10 years so there is an large amount of new knowledge, technology and equipment being used by growers.
