LAMB and mutton producers have enjoyed surging demand in the past week where the national indicator price for lamb averaged 808c/kg carcass weight.

The high demand saw the saleyard price indicator 64c/kg cwt above the Over The Hooks (OTH) price. Meat & Livestock Australia says it's not uncommon for OTH quotes to lag behind prices seen in the saleyards....
