Super fine wool producer Nan Bray is treading her own path in the sheep and wool industry and her innovative approach, which has evolved from closely observing how sheep graze and behave, is paying dividends with increased wool production and sheep fertility and the development of a growing knitting yarn enterprise. Bray, who runs around 1000 Saxon superfine merinos, at Oatlands, in the Tasmanian Midlands, first came to farming in 2000 after a long career in oceanography.
