As noted in section 3.8, in Australia, the 11th Emissions Reduction Fund auction was held in September 2020, and saw the Clean Energy Regulator committing to purchase 7 million tonnes of abatement on behalf of the Commonwealth. The average price per tonne of abatement purchased at the auction was AU$15.74 (US$12), slightly lower than Auction 10 (AU$16.14 / US$12.28).
The first auction was held in April 2015 and saw the the Clean Energy Regulator committed to purchase 47,333,140 tonnes of abatement on behalf of the Commonwealth, with an average price per tonne of abatement of $13.95.

In the most recent Quarterly Carbon Market Report, for September 2020, it is reported that 2.5 million ACCUs were issued in Quarter 3, 2020, bringing 2020 supply to 10.9 million. An additional 2.9 million ACCUs were issued in October 2020, with supply on track for an estimated 16 million ACCUs in 2020.
