The Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC)-funded workshops focussing on harvester setup to minimise losses and maximise harvester capacity continue to draw large crowds of farmers with almost 100 attending Goomalling in Western Australia yesterday.

Around a dozen more workshops are to follow with dates and locations in New South Wales and Victoria.

Static displays of harvesters of common makes and models accompany the workshop presentations from industry experts with growers able to crawl over machines to understand how best to adjust their harvester.

Tips and tricks focus on front settings, rotor and sieve settings as well as calibration and pre-season checks.

According to those in attendance, just one tip or adjustment could save significant losses and/or maximise throughput, making the half-day workshops well worthwhile.
