This innovation from Paul O'Meehan, Martin Brooks and the team is no exception. They have mounted 1000-litre fire-fighting units to the front of the articulated 4WD tractors that pull chasers at harvest.

The fire units use a hypro pump to pump water through a pipe fitted with TeeJet ¾" boomless nozzles that are pointed forward for chasing down fires.

A hand-held hose is also mounted to the cab-entry side if required.

We hope they don't have to use it but with the chaser usually the first on the scene, we reckon this is a nice setup to quickly douse any fires that spring up.
