The updates focus on technology and fit out, for example, the GSR Dual-Cab Pick-Up adopts the high-end Smartphone link Display Audio system with 7.0-inch touchscreen, six speakers, digital radio and Bluetooth connectivity with voice control and audio streaming.

This system also features the Multi Around Monitor, which provides a 360-degree bird's eye view of the vehicle to assist manoeuvring. There's also a HDMI port for additional connectivity.

All Triton diesel Cab-Chassis and GLX Pick-Up variants now benefit from the 7.0-inch MiDisplay infotainment system. This four-speaker touchscreen system allows both Apple and Android smartphone connectivity, while offering the convenience of a 3-in-1 USB to Lightning Type C & Micro USB cable. Digital radio and Bluetooth connectivity and audio streaming are also included.

The entry-level, petrol-powered GLX Cab Chassis 4x2 manual retains its 6.1-inch touchscreen Display Audio unit with CD player and two speakers.

Nothing much has changed in the engine and drivetrain departments with the entry-specification Triton GLX Single Cab Chassis 4x2 powered by a 94kW, 2.4-litre petrol engine and paired with a five-speed manual transmission.

All other variants are powered by Mitsubishi's MIVEC 2.4-litre, turbocharged, intercooled diesel engine, with a choice of 4x2 or 4x4, six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmissions.

This combination produces 133kW of power at 3500rpm, with 430Nm torque output, available at 2500rpm.

Fuel consumption, according to ADR 81/02 standards, ranges from 7.8L/100km to 8.6L/100km, depending on vehicle grade and transmission.

A GLS Deluxe package is available for automatic GLS Dual Cab Pick-Ups which includes leather appointed seat trim, powered driver's seat adjustment, heated front seats, door trims with leather appointed inserts and the Multi Around Monitor.

The GSR Double Cab is priced at $55,690.
