A FERAL cat management survey is being conducted by researchers at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, to generate a better understanding of the national effort to tackle this threat.
Threatened Species Commissioner Dr Sally Box said feral cats pose a significant threat to Australian wildlife.
"The science is clear that feral cats are having a devastating effect on our wildlife with millions of native animals being killed every single day across Australia" said Dr Box.
"The Australian Government's Threatened Species Strategy is supporting humane, effective and justifiable feral cat management right across Australia, to protect our unique wildlife."
