WA grain yields higher than expected

THE WIDE spread rain over the majority of Western Australia’s central regions immediately following the October Crop Report slowed the slide in grain yields from the very dry September and added at least 500,000t of potential total grain.

The latest crop report from GIWA is out now.

Grain Industry Association of Western Australia (GIWA) said the very mild temperatures and lack of heat shock has seen grain yield potential increase further.
