Day one of the Innovation Generation conference in Sydney has started with a great turn out.

The event is hosted by GrainGrowers and will see established and future industry leaders meeting together with a focus on under 35s who are interested and involved in the grains industry.

GrainGrowers chairman, Brett Hosking, welcomed over 230 delegates to the 2022 Innovation Generation conference at Warwick Farm, west of Sydney, this morning.

The theme of the conference this year is "Emerging Ag" and includes a program of speakers with forward-looking views for the Australian grain industry.

Delegates at the first day of the conference include young growers and industry representatives who have travelled from as far as Central Queensland and the Central Wheatbelt of Western Australia.

A farmer from Cunderdin, WA, and conference delegate Nick Jenzen, said he is making the most of the conference by incorporating a crop tour around parts of NSW.

Topics to be covered at Innovation Generation on day one include succession planning, risk mitigation and market competitiveness.

A formal dinner will follow the first day of proceedings at the William Inglis Barn.

Day two will cover topics on digital agriculture, emerging ag technology, carbon farming, along with off-site tours at the Batch Brewing Co, FMC facility, AEGIC Bread Research Institute and Elizabeth Macarthur Agricultural Institute.
