FARMER OF THE YEAR

Livestock Producer of the Year: Prue & David Bondfield

David and Prue Bondfield own Palgrove, a family-run seedstock and commercial cattle enterprise which sells up to 1000 Charolais, Charbray and Ultrablack bulls annually across Australia, as well as export bulls and genetics to several overseas markets.

Livestock Producer of the Year: Prue & David Bondfield

With four properties spread out across Queensland and New South Wales, David and Prue replicate the environmental conditions of their clients to guarantee the performance of the genetics. Each location presents specific challenges for the cattle, which are addressed with genetic selections such as adaption for heat and tick tolerance. While operating a single enterprise across multiple locations has its challenges, the diverse property locations have enabled David and Prue to make a more reliable assessment under both favourable and adverse conditions. David and Prue believe a better Australian beef industry is one where profits are shared equitably.
