The result of Victoria's first renewable energy auction, the six projects - to be located throughout regional Victoria - will generate more than 900 megawatts (MW) of clean energy.
The government hopes the projects will ultimately drive down energy prices in Victoria.
The auction was part of the Victorian Renewable Energy Targets (VRET) project and the VRET was initially expected to deliver at least 650MW of renewable energy.
