When launched last year, the ute's towing capacity was listed at 2250kg. Maximum tow ball weight has now also increased to 300kg.

The vehicle is available in three 4x4 AT Dual Cab grades - the Cannon, Cannon-L and Cannon-X. Dual Cabs start from $33,990 driveaway.

The mid-grade Cannon-L is priced from $37,990 driveaway while the range-topping Cannon-X is $40,990 driveaway.

Powering the new utes is a 2.0-litre diesel (120kW/400Nm) with a variable geometry turbocharger. This places the GWM at the lower end of the 4x4 utes available on the market when it comes to engine power.

Kondinin Group will be taking a look at a range of new ute models in its February Farming Ahead magazine.
