FARMING AHEAD INTELLIGENCE

Research Report: 30t-plus Chaser Bins (February 2019)

The Kondinin Group Research Team has inspected 10 models of local and imported chaser bins.

For an investment of between $60,000-$200,000 in a chaser bin, farmers can improve harvest field efficiency significantly.

Keeping grain moving ensures the most expensive machine in the paddock, the harvester, is working to capacity as often as possible.

With 40 manufacturers or importers of chaser bin in Australia ranging in price significantly, determining which make and model best suited to your operation can be difficult.

The Kondinin Group research team inspected over 40 makes and models of chaser bins in 2014, but larger capacity equipment has continued to come onto the market in an effort to match harvester throughput and grain tank capacity.

This latest chaser bin report looks to update and supplement our 2014 report, so if there is a model you were hoping to see evaluated, please refer to the April 2014 report as many of these sub-30tonne models have not significantly changed in design or construction.
