India extends tariff-free access for lentils

GRAINS AUSTRALIA has welcomed the recent extension of tariff-free access for lentil exports to India, one of the world’s biggest consumers and importers of the pulse crop, which it said represents a great opportunity for Australian producers.

The Indian Government advised recently the zero-tariff access for lentils, which has been effective since October 2021 and was due to expire in March this year, will now continue to 31 March 2025.
