Young cattle prices continue to ease

THE Eastern Young Cattle Indicator (EYCI) has continued to ease, closing last Friday 60 cents a kilo carcase weight (cwt) down on the previous week to finish on 887.74c/kg.

The EYCI has now dropped 126 cents since mid-June, according to Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA), however the Western Young Cattle Indicator (WYCI) rebounded 19c/kg last week to close on 909.72¢/kg cwt....
