THE Western Young Cattle Indicator (WYCI) is the highest it has been since December last year, sitting at 1152.85c/kg carcase weight (cwt), according to Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA).
The WYCI is performing well breaking new highs since the end of 2021.
The Eastern Young Cattle Indicator (EYCI) softened at the end of last week and beginning of this week to sit at 1112.30c/kg cwt.
An increase in yardings has seen the EYCI and WYCI drop significantly this week.
