Slaughter rates up as drought continues

ACCORDING to Rural Bank’s latest Australian Cattle Annual Review, dry seasonal conditions, particularly across New South Wales and Queensland have prompted many of Australia’s beef producers to reduce herd sizes and increase slaughter rates.
