Hegarty elected Cattle Council president

THE CATTLE Council of Australia has confirmed the election of New South Wales producer Tony Hegarty as its new president, as the incumbent president Howard Smith completed his four-year term at the industry council’s annual general meeting (AGM) in Canberra yesterday.

A new four year term president was elected at the Cattle Council AGM.

Tony Hegarty, who farms at Cassilis in NSW, has served as a Cattle Council board director for five years and has been vice president since 2014.
