Simple things causing processing problems

Each week, cattle processors find a variety of ‘contaminants’ in carcases which can condemn some or even all of a carcase and be costly for the vendor. In many incidences, the producer may not be aware of the issue until the animal is slaughtered and they receive feedback from the processor. But many of these issues can also be prevented on-farm, through an awareness and understanding of how problems arise.
