Lamb exports up, but value dips

THE continued high Australian dollar and lower consumer demand contributed to a 4% fall in the value of lamb exports in August.

According to Meat and Livestock Australia, the value fell to $A83.2 million despite an 18% increase in export volumes to 15,978 tonnes.
The value was down 4% on the same time last year.
