SPC future in Coca-Cola's hands: Abbott

PRIME Minister Tony Abbott has left fruit and vegetable processor SPC Ardmona to fend for itself after the government rejected a one-off grant of $25 million to help the Shepparton-based company invest in new technology.

The move means SPC will look to parent company Coca-Cola Amatil to foot the bill in order to keep the processor alive.
