Goyder replaces Peter Reading, who has retired as GTA chair after six years in the role. The announcement was made at the Australian Grains Industry Conference (AGIC) in Melbourne recently.
Reading said: "the timing is right from both an industry and organisation perspective for change in the important role of GTA Chairman. It has been my absolute pleasure to serve both the grains industry and GTA members, and I am pleased to be passing the role to a person of Andrew's calibre."
Goyder has a long record in the grains industry, and currently is principal of GrainLink Pty Ltd, a medium-sized grain marketing business in WA. He is also a current GTA board member.
