GoldAcres will take the wraps off what is thought to be the world's largest sprayer at their inaugural Factory Expo in Ballarat next February.
General manager, Vic Muller, was reluctant to reveal much detail ahead of the official launch but has confirmed the unit will have a total capacity of 14,000 litres carried in two 6000 litre tanks and two 1000 litre chemical shuttles.
"We don't know of any sprayer anywhere with that capacity. It has a single chassis with four wheels and front hub steering, and dwarfs anything we've ever seen."
Mr Muller also confirmed that dual Direct Chemical Injection modules would be standard.
He refused to be drawn on applications for the machine. But, it is believed the company is targeting both the liquid fertiliser and spraying markets. A rear boom support structure similar to that on the Prairie Advance EF is part of the design.
Farmers invited to visit factory
Mr Muller said the Factory Expo would run from February 23 through to February 27 and would provide farmers and contractors with the opportunity to observe all activities within the factory and see all stages of sprayer production.
"We'll also have a demonstration paddock close by where they can test drive our entire range. A bus will shuttle between the demo site and factory.
"It will be very easy for any farmers wanting to fly in - Ballarat airport is between our factory and the demo paddock," Mr Muller said.
GoldAcres founder, John Richards, and his sons Roger and Stephen, will be available throughout the week.
"John has always made a point of finding out what farmers want and has welcomed their feedback. This will be a great opportunity for us to understand more about our customers’ needs and they'll also get to see what we put into each machine," Mr Muller added.
Registrations are essential. Farmers can register with their local dealer, or contact the GoldAcres on 03 5342 6399, or www.goldacres.com.au.
