New fertiliser boom spreads its wings

The rising price of fertiliser has forced farmers to shift from applying their fertiliser inputs at planting to in-crop applications. Liquid options can be applied using the boomspray, but solids require a
boom designed and plumbed specifically for the job. Western Australian engineering firm, Auspray, has just fi nished building a new fertiliser boom. Kondinin Group discussed the fabrication and machine use with the manufacturer.
