Nitrogen options for northern wheat crops evaluated

Following the wet 2010 season grain growers in northern Australia are keen to benefit from the advantages their southern counterparts are experiencing from the use of foliar fertilisers.
However CSIRO research, backed by the Grains Research and Development Corporation, indicates the nitrogen benefits of foliar applications may not be as readily available to crops in the north as it is to those in the south because of different seasonal conditions.
